Herman Jansen
It wasn’t Herman but his great-grandfather Pieter who founded the company. In 1777, Pieter started a genever distillery and malt wine distillery in Schiedam. His genever sold well, laying the foundation for the family business. Herman’s entrepreneurial spirit soon took him beyond national borders.
This rich history has shaped Herman Jansen into what it is today: a modern and proud family-owned company, specializing in the development and production of a wide range of artisanal spirits. For its own brands, but nowadays also for third parties. A true ‘Spirits Creator’ since 1777, with craftsmanship and quality at its core.
Our spirits are highly appreciated by bartenders, consumers and at international competitions. Herman Jansen is deeply rooted in a rich heritage, yet keeps a keen eye on current trends and a promising future. The arrival of the 8th generation is already on the horizon!

Herman Collins cocktail
Ingredients:
45 ml Old Style Genever
20 ml Lemon Juice
10ml Sugar Water
Thomas Henry Soda Water
Directions:
Fill a highball glass with ice cubes and add 45 ml of Old Style Genever, 20 ml of lemon juice and 10 ml of sugar water. Top off with Thomas Henry Soda Water, then stir gently.
