Crafted in the heart of Japan’s Southern Alps, Hakushu is a fresh and gently smoky single malt whisky born from the pristine forests and pure mountain waters of Mt. Kaikomagatake. Established in 1973, the Hakushu Distillery often called the “forest distillery” is one of the highest in the world, surrounded by lush greenery and a unique microclimate that shapes its vibrant character.
Hakushu’s signature herbal notes and crisp profile are a tribute to nature and craftsmanship. Using wooden washbacks, a variety of pot stills, and carefully selected casks, the distillery creates whiskies that reflect the changing seasons and the purity of their environment.
